In A Manger Lowly Ornament

In 2016, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of "In a Manger Lowly," a beloved Christmas carol composed by Sister Victoria Martin and Sister Ambrose Padden.

The Sisters of St. Joseph copyrighted the song and introduced it to students during music classes. At many parishes, the song became a standard selection at Christmas Masses.

In 1961 the Sisters recorded "In a Manger Lowly" as the signature song on a Christmas album. The ornament commemorates the timelessness of this beloved song by featuring the artwork from the Sisters' 1961 Christmas album.

The front depicts a Sister of St. Joseph at the cradle of Jesus and the back features the album name.
